
Jason M. Brown

About
Jason is a trial attorney licensed in every court in the State of Idaho, the U.S.
District Court, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the
United States Appellate Court for the Federal District and the Shoshone-
Bannock and Shoshone-Arapaho tribal courts. Jason is currently a part time
judge for the Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Courts. He has years of experience in
criminal defense, property, landlord/tenant, Native American, personal injury
and family law. Jason has been appointed to the Idaho State Bar Professional
Conduct Board and was an officer of the Sixth District Bar Association from
April 2020 to April 2024. He has litigated, and been very successful, in state,
federal, and Native American courts, and is experienced in both jury and court
trials.
Jason is an Idaho native who received his undergraduate Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Spanish from Idaho State University. He is a fluent Spanish
speaker, reader, and writer. While attending Idaho State University, Jason
provided simultaneous translation service for courts in Bannock, Bingham and
Power Counties. He chose the University of Idaho College of Law as his law
school and graduated in 2011 with an emphasis in Native American law. He
enjoys riding motorcycles, spending time with family and traveling to, and
experiencing, new places.
